The Going Out There (GOT) Toolkit has now gone live.

The main change is to the format of the Risk Assessment templates and worked examples.

The Toolkits supplement the advice in the main GOT document and provide everything required to plan and organise all categories of visits.  This includes planning flowcharts, parental consent and information templates, risk assessments (generic and worked examples), and visit plans.

Going Out There is the Scottish Framework for Safe Practice in Off-site Visits. It has been developed in partnership by the Scottish Government, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the Scottish Advisory Panel for Outdoor Education (SAPOE), Education Scotland, and the Association of Directors of Education, with input from other partners including voluntary organisations and providers.
