Greenspace Scotland have reported on the Stronger Starts grant programme.

Scotland needs lots of new applications! Stronger Starts is a new £5m grant programme to boost school funds. The main focus is on schools, including nursery, primary and secondary, however all groups connected to schools and other groups supporting children and young people will be considered such as PTAs, parent councils and sports clubs. Interested in applying for funds? Get in touch with greenspace scotland’s Community Enablers.

Until the end of September you can vote on the first round of Stronger Starts projects in Tesco stores. There’s lots to choose from with schools and organisations across Scotland applying for sensory gardens, mud kitchens, greenhouse projects, sports equipment, playground upgrades, healthy snacks and growing together to name just a few. When the final votes are counted, all the projects will get between £500 to £1500 funding.
