Children & Nature network (28 June 2022) have shared a report on recent survey in the UK.

This ‘found that many adults are unfamiliar with basic nature concepts, unable to identify more than a few of the most common species of birds and insects. Despite this, four in five respondents said that they feel happier when outdoors. And of course, the younger generation are an opportunity to “turn over a new leaf” with regards to nature education, with 16% of parents saying that their child knows more about nature than they do. Two in three parents reported they are grateful to their child’s school for helping them learn more about nature ’.
