In the words of the Headteacher of Lochardil Primary School:
“Such a fabulous opportunity and online resource full of beautiful stories, photographs and film all ready to inspire creativity within our learning and teaching, and capture our children’s interests. The local to global connections provide a unique lens to explore key citizenship and sustainability themes.
The project allows for different world perspectives to be explored on the same core purpose; working together to care for our environment and explore our global citizenship connections! It provides a stimulus to learn about the world, challenge racism and generational views, and identify positive actions for change through the eyes of Cura the badger. This can be done through a focus on individual curricular areas or as a joint approach.
The project has expressive arts, literacy and children’s rights at the heart, and through such captivating world stories, connections to and with nature through photographs, and the performing arts, all learners both child and adult alike, are able to unite through the free resource, and ensure all achieve!
I’m looking forward to participating in this next session and being part of world communities from around the world working together to unite, the possibilities of what Cura Guardian can bring is simply a gift! “
