Please note that these courses are only open to those working in Early Years and/ or Forest Kindergarten trained.

Join Kate Hookham as she leads a fantastic introduction to shelters and ropes, the perfect start to any forest kindergarten journey. In this course, Kate will cover Benefit Risk Assessment (a quick recap from FK training), exploring material properties of different material and rope, learning key hitches, bends, lashings and the different types of shelter styles.

What to bring- Appropriate clothing (waterproofs- jacket and trousers, layers of clothing (merino wool -recommended), warm footwear & socks. GLOVES (too keep fingers warm when manipulating rope).- Camera (on phone is fine)- Notepad- Photographs of your site

Each participant will receive a section of Paracord to use and take away with them. All other materials will be loaned out for the sessions by Do Learn.
