Maths Week Scotland (MWS), in association with National Museums of Scotland, is an annual programme showcasing and raising awareness of mathematics across all sectors of society. This is a national schools and community programme, with multiple partners bringing funded projects and programmes over the year with a peak of focus in September.
The theme for 2025 is ‘Wild Maths’ – exploring maths in the natural world, weather, plants and animals, space, and outdoor learning, as well as other exciting ideas!
Maths Week Scotland 2025 offers two different funding opportunities depending on the size of your project: Large Grants Fund and Small Grants Fund.
The Large Grants Fund offering grants of between £2-5k to support organisations, partnerships, and charities to develop in-person events or digital activities for Maths Week Scotland 2025.
The Small Grants Fund – Maths Week Scotland is open to applications for between £250 or £500 (2 funding rounds in 2025).
