The Care Inspectorate has published its Early Learning and Childcare Statistics 2018, showing the availability and quality of early learning and childcare for children and families across Scotland. 90% of services were evaluated to provide good or better ELC provision. Only 0.7% of nurseries (18 services) were found to provide a specialist outdoor service where children spend the majority of time outdoors.
