Engage pupils in wonders of natural world


This analysis in the Herald (25 March 2019) by Pete Higgins, Professor of Outdoor Education at Edinburgh University welcomes Scottish Government moves to encourage play and learning outdoors in young children, and suggests this needs to be consolidated with integrated progressive experiences throughout all of a child’s school years. Here, learning for sustainability is an entitlement for all learners and in Scotland, means spending time in the natural world.
