Creative STAR Learning Company's July Outdoor Learning & Play News e-newsletter, reported the sad news of the death of Cathy Bache on Sunday 9th July. “She was a remarkable woman who established the first outdoor kindergarten in Scotland. More than this, she demonstrated that outdoor provision could and should be a mainstream offer to parents and children”. The Secret Garden Outdoor Nursery continues, and Cathy’s ethos lives on, in her contribution to early years’ outdoor practice and her positive influence on individual practitioners across Scotland.
